A fantastic late summer day, a course in fantastic condition and fantastic hospitality from start to finish all contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable trip to Newtonmore this year. A good turnout of 15 where we welcomed two new members and two joining us for the day from the south section.
Scratch Winner went to Simon Gray, closely beating Tony Farndon on countback, with Hazel MacKenzie taking the handicap win with a cracking score of 42pts (again beating Tony into second place – always the bridesmaid Tony!).
The Guest Cup (best combined stableford score for the two outings for any current or ex FC bodies staff member) goes to organiser Derek Shannan with a score of 68pts. New member and new golfer Nicky Greig takes the ladies longest drive, Fraser MacDonald takes the A class longest drive, Tim Stobart with the B class, Hazel with the ladies nearest the pin and finally gents nearest the pin going to Malcolm MacDougall.
