Our second outing of the season saw us travel half an hour west of Dumfries to Dalbeattie. We had a healthy turn out of 10, and were happy to welcome one new face – Allan Learnmonth.
It was a very pleasant summer’s day on a tricky 9 hole lay out where the fast and sloping greens were challenging to say the least. The hospitality in the clubhouse was second to none.
The only prolific winner at Dalbeattie was a last minute entry!! Sorry everybody else, and he even had the temerity to drive his ball through the 7th green (314 yds), while the group in front putted out. Maybe they annoyed him by cutting in, or more likely he was just in a hurry to return to the clubhouse to pick up his numerous prizes??
